First, thanks to Babes in Disneyland and Days in the Park for hosting this week’s Disney Blog Hop and the topic of Star Wars or Star Tours. Some folks who know me may wonder why I’m so excited that Star Tours has reopened in Walt Disney World and Disneyland. They jokingly suggest I don’t need a ride to get to another galaxy…I already live there permanently. Very funny. The reason I am psyched is that of all my trips to Disney, I never actually rode the ride and this year will be my moment!! I’ve been to Walt Disney World during a Star Wars weekend. My DS was chosen to participate in the Jedi Training academy. I’ve shopped in the gift shop. But, I never actually got on the ride.

In my family we are constantly dividing and then conquering the parks. If you don’t want to do something, we’ll find something else. It works for us. But somehow Star Tours was elusive to me! I was always the adult portion of the group finding that “something else”. I also often volunteered to lead the “something-elsers” since I can get a bit of motion sickness. Well not anymore! First I heard that the ride’s woozy factor is improved. And I’m going to take some non-drowsy Dramamine. Star Tours…here I come!

I always felt ill after riding Star Tours but I was able to ride the new version 3 times in a row without feeling even a little dizzy. Looking forward to hearing how you liked it!

Yes–the woozy factor is completely decreased! I get motion sick at the drop of a hat but was able to ride the new Star Tours four times in a row, AND eat a churro afterwards. You will love it when you get on it.
